Jennifer Phillips
Executive Director
Jennifer spent her 30-year local government career serving communities in the California and Washington as an Assistant City Manager and City Manager. She obtained a bachelor's degree and master's degree in public administration from California State University, Long Beach. She has a passion for delivering valuable and impactful programs and services to communities and is committed to transparency, quality program administration and fiscal responsibility. Mentoring and coaching are also a passion, along with teaching and lecturing about leadership. Following retirement, Jennifer moved to Colorado Springs with her husband Wesley and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Piz Palu and was eager to find an organization that offers supportive services to families in their new community. Joining Family Promise is a wonderful opportunity for her to give back and support her community.
Beth Parke
Office Manager
Beth has a business background in medical billing, bookkeeping, and banking. Â Throughout many years as a stay-at-home mom, she volunteered in schools, youth sports programs, and other programs benefiting families and children. Beth and her husband, Brian, have lived in Colorado Springs for many years and raised their family here. Â She is honored to now be a part of Family Promise.
Zach Davis
Volunteer Manager

Zach Davis is beyond excited to join the Family Promise Colorado Springs team as the Manager of Volunteer Programs! He is passionate about bringing communities together to make a difference in the world and is especially committed to alleviating the effects of poverty and lack of housing in our community. Zach is passionate about enabling volunteers to feel prepared and confident to step into the work through connecting the right people with the right opportunities and offering training and support to ensure that programs go smoothly, and volunteers and guests feel oriented and valued. In his free time Zach enjoys spending time with his wife and their cat, playing board games, sipping tea or coffee, and enjoying the Colorado mountains.
Brandon Plunkett
Director of Community Programs and Operations
After dedicating years of service to the community as a medic and licensed emergency medical technician, Brandon discovered a passion for assisting others. Fueled by this commitment, he embarked on a journey into social work, aspiring to make a meaningful impact through human relations, social justice, and community service. Driven by his passion for advocacy through administration and social work, Brandon brings nearly a decade of healthcare administration experience and two years of hands-on social work experience. Brandon’s dedication revolves around addressing the community's diverse needs, focusing particularly on service, advocacy, and case management for oppressed, discriminated, and at-risk individuals and families in El Paso County. Brandon is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve families with Family Promise of Colorado Springs. He looks forward to working with families and agencies to meet the community's needs!
Mariela Lockette
Family Services Manager
Mariela is excited to join the Family Promise Colorado Springs team as the Family Services Coordinator. She has years of experience in assisting non-profit organizations in the local community as well as overseas. She is passionate about our local community and working together to help families thrive. She brings experience in organizational management and is also passionate about equipping individuals through leadership and teamwork. Throughout her many years as a homeschool and stay at home mom, Mariela has had the opportunity to engage in the community through service in schools, youth sports organizations and community outreach. Now that her kids are mostly grown and flown, Mariela is ready to make an impact at Family Promise Colorado Springs by helping coordinate initiatives to help address the community’s diverse needs and by utilizing her bilingual communication skills to broaden the support Family Promise offers to the community. She loves living in Colorado Springs with her husband, three kids and two dogs. In her free time, she most enjoys the mountains, hiking, stand up paddleboarding and riding her e-bike.
Elisabeth Daudey
Service Adventure Volunteer
Elisabeth is a Service Adventure Volunteer from Germany. She will be working with Family Promise for the next 9 months and she is excited to be part of this amazing organization. Through this great opportunity she hopes to not only give back to the community but also to grow personally and professionally.
Dallas Green
Intern
Dallas is an intern here at Family Promise of Colorado Springs. She is a senior from UCCS in the BSW program. She is eager to apply what she has learned to best assist families here in Colorado Springs. Dallas is passionate about serving her community and helping families to reach their full potential. She is excited to learn from her colleagues and gain experience through working with families. In her free time Dallas enjoys the outdoors in beautiful Colorado. She enjoys activites such as hiking, fishing, and exploring the beauty of our great state. She also likes spending time with her family, including her husband, daughter and two dogs.

Thomas Hartman
Intern
Thomas is currently an intern at Family Promise of Colorado Springs while pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), with an expected graduation date of May 2025. Thomas served five years in the U.S. Army, completing multiple combat tours in Afghanistan. His experiences during this time led to challenges in transitioning back to civilian life, which inspired his commitment to becoming a helping professional. He is particularly passionate about finding solutions and providing assistance to the unhoused population. In his free time, Thomas enjoys snowboarding and attending concerts. Looking ahead, he plans to pursue a master's degree in social work and aims to become a licensed therapist.
Maya Essmeier
Intern
Maya is excited to join Family Promise as part of her internship, and practicum hours. She is a senior at the University of Colorado Springs majoring in social work, with the hopes of getting her master’s in social work in 2025-2026. She doesn’t have as much experience in the social work field but is hoping to gain a lot of insight and experience from this amazing opportunity. She is really looking forward to making a difference and making a positive impact on the community as a whole.
