Families First Mental Health Program
The Family Promise of Colorado Springs Families First Mental Health Stipend provides financial assistance to support families in Colorado Springs and El Paso County accessing professional mental health services. This program is designed to improve the mental health and well-being of families with minor dependents by covering the cost of mental health sessions.
Eligibility Requirements for Families
Eligible families must reside in El Paso County and have at least one minor dependent (under the age of 18) living in the household. Family members aged three and older are eligible to receive the stipend. To participate, families must complete the program registration process.
Program Details for Families
Each eligible family may receive up to 12 stipends of $120 per session, totaling no more than $1,440 per household (additional vouchers will require special approval). Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will conclude on April 30, 2025, or once all funds are depleted, whichever comes first. Eligible families may use their stipend with any mental health provider that meets eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Requirements for Mental Health Providers
Providers must agree not to exceed the $120 program stipend per session and must be a licensed mental health professional practicing in Colorado. Providers must submit proof of licensure and verification through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) and a completed W-9 form for the current year. Providers must agree to accept payments by check mailed to an El Paso County address and register with the program to join the network.

Providers must submit accurate invoices, vouchers, and proof of service to receive reimbursement. The program will operate until April 30, 2025, or until funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first.
Program Rules and Compliance
The stipend is capped at $120 per session. Stipends are non-transferable and must be used exclusively by the registered families. To maintain eligibility, both families and providers must comply with program guidelines. Non-compliance may result in disqualification from the program.
Limitations and Disclaimer
This program is funded through grants and operates with limited resources. Registration does not guarantee access to stipends. No further stipends will be issued once the program funds are depleted or the program ends on April 30, 2025.
